We are proud of Volume I and we are excited to go wider and deeper for the second volume, covering a wider set of perspectives. Your contribution will help to move this project from important and worthy to truly historic.

The request is about 1,000 words. For more information about the article please have a look at:

Article Guidelines

The book is part of the wider dialogue around the future of text, with an annual Future of Text Symposium–the 10th of which will be this year–as well as continuous Community Dialogue. We are also developing an approach for appending rich metadata to even basic PDF documents (and even printed books) to truly demonstrate some of the potential of the future of text in the book itself, a project we call Visual-Meta.

Final manuscripts must be submitted by the 6th of September 2021.

Thank you for considering this and please feel free to join us at future-of-text.circle.so Please also note that this is a passion project for all of us, so there is no payment involved.
