This is your formal invitation to contribute to the ‘The Future of Text’ book Vol IV and Symposium.
The first volumes have seen contributions from leading academics, technologists, artists and thinkers in a wide range of disciplines, with an Introduction by the co-inventor of the Internet, Vint Cerf and a Postscript by the founder of the modern Library of Alexandria, Ismail Serageldin. By contributing to this fourth volume you will join a most esteemed list of contributors.
Focus for Vol IV : Extending text, extending cognition through AI, VR & Beyond
Timing & Specifics
The deadline for the article submission is the 27th of September 2023, a week before the Symposium (on the 4th of October) so that the community will have a chance to read it before then, giving us more time for dialog during our time together. However, you can also choose to contribute only an article or only a presentation, should you prefer. It would be great if you could have a look at the Article Guidelines.
Extending the community
Is there someone you feel should be approached with an invitation whom has not been part of the Future of Text work so far? We are looking for fresh perspectives. Please get in touch with suggestions, especially if you can provide introductions. This year we are also open to sponsors so if you would like to sponsor The Future of Text or know someone else, person or organisation, please let us know. You should also feel free to see what we are doing at the Future Text Lab.
Thank you!
Thank you for considering being a part of the future of text. We meet every Monday 4-6 UK time. Please get in touch if you’d like to meet the team and discuss what we are about and how what you are thinking about might fit.
